6 useful websites for beginners in Digital Marketing

This post includes some advice regarding useful links, apps and advice for new digital marketers, which means I would recommend the read to everyone who is slightly interested in digital marketing, which can include – social media marketing, SEO (search engine optimisation), content creation, copywriting or even freelancing.

I would like to share some useful information that I was able to learn since I began my postgraduate studies in Digital Marketing. I believe, that if you are interested in becoming a digital marketer or you have a business which you wish to low-cost market, these small tips may help you to improve your knowledge about sources which you can use to learn more, gain certificates or just learn to use a new programs and apps.

SEMrush

I discovered this very useful tool while writing an assignment for one of the modules. I used part of SEMrush to create a Buyer Persona.

Later on, I found out, thanks to one of my module leaders, that it is possible to access SEMrush Academy, which is free to everyone, and is full of very useful courses, that can help an individual expand an existing SEMrush knowledge, or learn new ones. The courses are focused on digital marketing, as the whole website (it is a great platform for all digital marketers, I promise you will love it!); for example, Digital Advertising 101, which will help to master the art of building a digital advertising strategy, set the objectives, profile for the audience, analyse competitors or also allocate budget; for YouTubers, there is course Mastering YouTube Search Trends and SEO Strategies, and many many more. Once you will complete the course by passing the final test successfully, you will receive a certificate, that is usually valid for one year. You can then share this award in your LinkedIn profile or insert it in the CV, if you are looking for work, which may help you to get higher chances to be hired! I was amazed at how well these courses are structured. It includes all the information you should know if you are a self-taught beginner.

SEMrush is a platform for digital marketers that contains tools which will help with online visibility management content marketing and many more. Just to mention, the platform offers basic features for free with paid extensions. For further details about this website please follow this link. 

HubSpot

This platform is great for customer relationship management (CRM), which supports marketers to manage and measure sales, and services while using their website-building software to build the business. Therefore it may be useful not only to marketers but also to business owners who are planning to take care of their business strategy.

Same as with SEMrush, HubSpot can be paid for or free. It contains many software useful in the business world including marketing, e-commerce, sales, CMS (customer management software), and operations.

HubSpot also has its own Academy. The offer is quite rich and in general, it includes courses in Social Media Marketing, Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, SEO, and also courses that help with using HubSpot Marketing Software. From what I've discovered, the courses are mostly for free and most of them, upon their successful finish, are awarded by certificate which can be very useful as well. HootSuite

This will be your good friend if you plan to maintain Social Media platforms. Hootsuite is a powerful platform designed to streamline your social media efforts by allowing you to manage multiple accounts and platforms all in one convenient dashboard. From scheduling posts to analysing performance metrics, Hootsuite has got your back every step of the way.

This tool will help you save precious time by scheduling posts ahead of time. All socials can be accessed together from one dashboard. Additionally, the analytics will help you track the SM engagement, monitor trends, and optimise your strategy for maximum impact.

Like most websites, HootSuite also provides free and premium versions.

HootSuite doesn't just stop at providing an awesome platform – they also offer a treasure trove of resources through their HootSuite Academy🎓. Whether you're a social media newbie or a seasoned pro, the Academy offers courses on everything from social media strategy to platform-specific tutorials. Canva

Canva has recently become the best friend to almost us all. This app is a game-changer in the world of design. This user-friendly graphic design platform empowers anyone and everyone to create perfect visuals with ease. Graphics that can be used anywhere! Pre-designed leaflets, business cards, invitations, and resumes, this is only a summary of everything this app offers. Whether you are a professional, a student, or just someone in need of creating something original, use Canva! It will help you with everything in design you need.

This app can be accessed either in the browser or as an app on your computer or Smartphone and it's very simple to use.

BTW. Canva also offers Canva Design School, which helps to expand your design knowledge and improve your creativity. The versions of the app are free and premium, from which the free version already offers so many features that for some people is no need to pay for the premium. The app can be accessed here. 

Upwork and Fiverr

This is just a recommendation of what I found useful freelancing app whether you need money, experiences or wish to work remotely as a freelancer, these two apps can be accessed in a web browser or downloaded on your phone. You can offer any kind of remote skills you have, whether that is logo design, website building, voiceover, copywriting, content writing, social media management, SEO, marketing strategies, etc. You can find any kind of remote job you can imagine via both platforms.
